How to set up Brollie

There are a number of great ways for you to enjoy Brollie’s content, whether on-the-go or from the comfort of your own home. Below is a list of our available setup options. Please choose the most appropriate for you.

General system requirements You can watch Brollie on PCs running Windows 7+, Intel-based Macs running macOS10.12+. You can also watch on Android tablets and phones, and iPhone and iPad using the app. You will need a broadband or fibre internet connection - dial up will not work. You will find a more specific and complete list of requirements below.

TV If you would like to watch Brollie on your TV, please connect using the in-built app on devices that use Android TV, Apple TV, or Google TV, excluding Tizen devices (Samsung). We do not advise you using the pre-installed browser on your smart TV to stream Brollie content, as many devices are unreliable and not inherently compatible with our software. Instead, please select one of the alternative ways to stream films from the list below.

Windows computers To watch Brollie on your Windows computer you will need to be running Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10. Recommended browsers include Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer or Opera. We recommend using the latest version of your browser as earlier versions may not be supported. Internet Explorer on Windows 7 is no longer supported.

Mac computers To watch Brollie on your Mac computer you will need to be running MacOS 10.12 or later. Recommended browsers include Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Opera. We recommend using the latest version of your browser as earlier versions may not be supported.

Chromecast You can Chromecast from a Chrome web browser or from an Android device using the Android app or for Apple from the App Store. For further information on how to use Chromecast, visit Google support.

iPhone/iPad You can watch Brollie using the app which can be downloaded from the Apple App Store. Brollie requires iOS 11 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Android You can watch Brollie using the app which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. Brollie requires Android 6.0 or later.

Streaming issues

Check your minimum system requirements mentioned above. We also recommend that you update to the latest version of your browser.
We use adaptive bitrate streaming which means the streaming quality will automatically adjust based on your internet speed. For High Definition (HD) streaming we recommend VDSL, cable or fibre connections as we cannot guarantee consistent HD streaming on ADSL. If your internet connection is poor or inconsistent you may experience problems during playback.

Forgotten password

Simply click Forgot your password on the Sign In page, enter the email address you used when you created an account and a link to reset your password will be sent to you.

Rewind and Fast Forward

You can use the progress bar (or scrub bar) below the video to begin playing from any moment. While the video is playing, simply click and hold on the scrub bar and move to the position you would like to play from, then let go and press play.

For ChromesCast, Apple TV, and Smart TV’s you can use the included remote to Fast Forward and Rewind.
