Deerskin

1h 17m Comedy, Horror 2019

A pitch-black comedy about midlife crisis and the murderous lengths a man will go to preserve his masculine vanity.

Academy Award® winner, Jean Dujardin (The Artist), is Georges, recently divorced, frozen out of his finances and left to his own devices in a sleepy alpine village while he tries in vain to find new purpose in life. Coming into possession of a vintage deerskin jacket and hand-held camera, Georges soon finds himself travelling a twisted path of delusion, lies and eventually murder under the guise of making a movie documenting his new fashionable obsession and the uncanny influence it exerts upon him.

Co-starring Adèle Haenel, (Portrait of a Lady on Fire) as Denise, a local barmaid and aspiring editor aiding Georges on his quest, and featuring a plot that goes from absurd to horrific, Deerskin is an “immaculate, taut portrait of pathetic navel-gazing masculinity” - Little White Lies.
