Barney
A twelve year old boy and a common criminal are being transported in the same ship from England to Australia in the 1800's.
A small boy named Barney, a loveable wombat named Amanda, and Rafe, a roguish Irish convict, are the lone survivors of a shipwreck off the coast of New South Wales in the 1880’s. Encountering horse-thieves, a band of gypsies, an assortment of bushrangers and pursuing policeman along the way, the trio set out on an arduous overland journey to Ballarat to meet Barney’s father. In spite of Rafe’s age, it’s Barney’s wit and common sense that pull the trio through their numerable crises.
