David is a disillusioned doctor, who meets a young heroin addict that shares his angst.

Richard Moir is David Trueman, a young doctor who dreams of going to South America to practice medicine among the disenfranchised. Arriving in Bolivia, he encounters enough corruption and oppression to drive him away from his dreams and into the drug scene. Disillusioned and escaping to the US, he meets Mary (Jo Kennedy), a young heroin addict who shares his angst. As the two commiserate, their bleak outlook lightens, promising a glimmer of hope for the both of them.

Ian Pringle’s offering from 1985 presents a strong atmosphere with characters exploring stark existentialist realities. Starring Richard Moir (In Search of Anna, The Odd Angry Shot), Jo Kennedy (Starstruck, Shine) and Nick Lathouris (Death in Brunswick, Mad Max).
