Remember

1h 34m Drama, Mystery, Thriller 2015
Venice - Golden Lion Nominee

Two elderly Auschwitz survivors search for the person they believe to be responsible for the deaths of their families.

90 year-old Zev Guttman (Academy Award® Winner Christopher Plummer, Beginners, The Sound of Music) is struggling with memory loss, living out his final years in a retirement home. Following the death of his beloved wife, he receives a mysterious package from close friend Max (Academy Award® Winner Martin Landau, Ed Wood, Crimes and Misdemeanors), containing money and a letter detailing a shocking plan.

Zev and Max were prisoners together in Auschwitz, and remain haunted by one particular sadistic guard responsible for the deaths of both of their families. Discovering his whereabouts, Zev sets out to embark on a cross-continental road-trip to bring justice once and for all to the man who destroyed both of their lives.

Directed by Academy Award® nominated filmmaker, Atom Egoyan (The Sweet Hereafter, The Captive), Remember explores with dignity the emotional terrain and lasting repercussions of a crime that will never be forgotten.
